Appeal for Donation
- Dear readers,
It has been two good years for Islam-watch.org since its launch in Nov 2005. With carefully chosen contents, Islam-watch has created a unique niche for itself not only in the fight against the resurgence of Islam and but also towards its likely eventual demise.
Our readership has grown steadily with about 200% growth over the past year. Currently, our daily average of unique visitors is around 2400. Since its launch, our site has recorded at least one million unique visits.
Islam-watch is currently rated second-best website run by ex-Muslims, next to Faithfreedom.org (FFI). We believe our readership will continue to grow over coming years. We also believe that Islam-watch, like FFI, will eventually emerge as powerful a force in educating the world about the threat of Islam.
However, all this has come at a price. Like Dr Ali Sina of FFI, editor MA Khan had to quit his rewarding job in a technical profession a year ago. He has a young family and very little savings from his 8 years on the job. His irregular part-time job now brings him peanuts while consuming a lot of his time.
The oil-rich Arab governments are pouring billions of dollars annually for promoting Islam around the world. The governments of Muslim countries pour in millions of dollars for promoting Islam. Large sums also come from the pockets of individual believers. Aids from Western countries are also being redirected through various means to help the cause of Islam. The terrorizing muscle power of the Muslim mob against critics also prompts the Islamist agendas.
Fighting the resurgence of Islam will require a sustained matching in material, manpower and intellectual input for confronting it. What Islam-watch is doing is probably a drop in the ocean of what is needed. Islam-watch can eventually expand its effort by transforming itself into an organization or foundation, putting in place various measures for spreading its messages to wider readership, creating its own research team, and setting up a publishing house etc.
At this point, however, we need your help for Islam-watch to survive. It is unlikely that supports for our work will come from any other sources than our readers who whole-heartedly support this venture. We have decided to ask for donation from the readers twice every year. We hope to raise $ 6000.00 for the next six months. You can make donations through your Credit Card or Bank Account via Paypal which is very safe. Please make a donation of $20.00 or more today to keep Islam-watch alive.
Note: Unfortunately, the donation will not be tax-free. For that, we need to be registered as a non-profit organization in all the countries, which is both risky and very expensive.
