The Hero and the Useful Idiot of the Year
15 Jan, 2007
Humanity owes its freedom to its heroes. A hero is an ordinary
person who does extraordinary things, which affects the lives of
others in a positive way. We must recognize our heroes and
acknowledge their bravery and courage.
Today, Mankind is facing, perhaps one of the biggest threats to
its peace. There is a great danger looming over our heads that
could destroy millions of lives. This danger comes from an
ideology of hate that is mindlessly and uncritically believed by a
billion people to be the only true religion. They believe that
anyone who does not share their irrational views is hated by God
and consequently should be hated by them too. The proponents of
this ideology of hate are menacing mankind with terror. Many of
them are ignorant of the inhumanity of their cult. They would
leave it if they come to see the truth. However, left on their
own, they see sheer evil as divine. They cherish in the pains of
others and yearn for the blood of the innocent people whom they
don’t know.
The challenge is to awaken this big mass of humanity and bring
them back to their senses. This is like trying to transform wolves
into sheep, or zombies into living sentient people. Those who
strive to this end are true heroes. These ordinary individuals are
doing something extraordinary. They strive to end violence with
non-violence and through education. They try hard to bring out the
humanity of the followers of this cult of hate and rescue them
from their insanity. These individuals have risen above their own
imitations, have defied death, and have confronted the most
dangerous doctrine of hate and stupidity, a doctrine that does not
tolerate dissent and the only way it knows how to deal with
criticism is through assassination and killing. These individuals
are heroes because on their success depends the peace of the
world. If they fail humanity will fail.
Faith Freedom International wants to recognize these heroes and
thank them for their bravery. Therefore starting from this year,
we would like to ask everyone to participate in our poll and vote
for the hero or the heroine of the year. You can nominate your
candidate too. Send a brief resume of your candidate and tell us
why you think this person deserves to be chosen as the
hero/heroine of the year. By December 5, we will close receiving
new nominations and will start the poll. Then you will have the
chance to vote for your favorite candidate. You can also campaign
for your candidate by asking your friends to vote too. The person
thus elected, will receive the title of the hero of the year.
We also decided that it is not a bad idea to elect the “anti-hero”
of the year too. An anti-hero is the opposite of a hero. He or she
is a coward – someone who has helped Islamic cause and has worked
against the interest of humanity and his or her own people.
Naturally this person cannot be a born Muslim becaue born Muslims
do evil out of ignorance and because they have been brainwashed
since childhood. But someone who has converted to Islam or is
sympathetic to it has chosen evil by exercizing his/her own free
will. We call this category the Useful Idiot of the year.
Today we are presenting two candidates, two women, two
journalists. One as a hero and one as a useful idiot. One who
loved freedom her country and her culture and strived all her life
against tyranny, intolerance and doctrines of hate and up to the
end of her life protected her world, the Western civilization,
like a lioness. The other succumbed to stupidity and hate
propagated by Islam, calls her own country, UK, “the third most
hated country of the world”, (after Israel and America), praises
the terrorists and condones their butcheries.
The Profile of a Heroine
Oriana Fallaci
Oriana Fallaci (1929, 2006) was an Italian journalist, author, and
political interviewer. During World War II, the youthful Oriana
joined the partisans fighting against fascism. After the war, as a
young journalist, she interviewed many internationally known
leaders. Los Angeles Times described her as "the journalist to
whom virtually no world figure would say no."
In later years of her life Oriana saw the similarities of Islam
and fascism. She could not remain silent. Despite her delicate
health, as she was battling against cancer, she came out roaring
like a lioness. Oriana assumed the role of Cassandra of Troy for
Europe and the West. She wrote three books sounding the alarm and
crying out that “Europe will burn.” Her words were prophetic, as
in 2005 several cities in France and Belgium were literally
burning. But if her warnings are not taken seriously more burnings
are yet to come.
Oriana was a war correspondent, in Vietnam, during the
Indo-Pakistani War, in the Middle East, and in South America. In
Mexico, during Tlatelolco massacre, Fallaci was shot three times,
dragged down stairs by her hair, and left for dead by Mexican
armed forces.
She denounced the first conference of European Social Forum, a
leftist movement that tries to destroy the Western values to make
room for Islamism, equating them to Nazis and called upon the
citizens of Florence, her own native town, to cease commercial
operations and stay home during the conference. Florentines loved
this giant tiny woman. "We have done it for Oriana, because she
hasn't spoken in public for the last 12 years, and hasn't been
laughing in the last 50". Protest organizers declared.
In 2002 she was sued by the Islamic Center and the Somal
Association of Geneva for the supposedly racist content of her
book The Rage and The Pride, which in Italy alone sold over
a million copies. A Swiss judge issued an arrest warrant for
violations of article 261 and 261 bis of the Swiss criminal code
and requested the Italian government to either try or extradite
her. The extradition request was rejected because the Constitution
of Italy protects freedom of speech. This episode is mentioned in
her book The Force of Reason
In May 2005, Adel Smith, president of the Union of Italian
Muslims, launched a lawsuit against Fallaci charging that "some of
the things she said in her book The Force of Reason are offensive
to Islam." Smith's attorney, Matteo Nicoli, cited a phrase from
the book that refers to Islam as "a pool that never purifies."
Consequently an Italian judge, Beatrice Siccardi, ordered her to
stand trial on charges of "defaming Islam," as if anyone can write
anything more defamatory to Islam that what Muhammad had written
in the Quran or what his companions have said about him in the
Hadith. Fallaci accused the judge of having disregarded the fact
that Smith called for her murder and defamed Christianity. (Some
Judge!)
On November 30, 2005, Oriana Fallaci received the Center for the
Study of Popular Culture’s Annie Taylor Award in New York. She was
honored for her "heroism and valor" that made of her "a symbol of
struggle against oppression and fascism". Since 9/11, Fallaci had
dedicated herself in the fight against "the greatest threat to
Western civilization since the Cold War, Islamofascism.
On December 14, 2005, she was awarded, with a gold medal for her
cultural efforts. “The gold medal moves me because it gratifies my
hard work of writer and journalist, my engagement to the defense
of our culture, my love for my Country and for Freedom. My
well-known health condition prevents me to travel and to withdraw
personally an award that, for me, a woman not accustomed to medals
and to trophies, has an intense ethical and moral meaning,” wrote
Oriana.
She returned to her beloved birth town to die while looking from
her hospital bed at Arno, the river that witnessed her heroism in
her adolecence. This lioness of a woman left this world on the
night between the 14th and the 15th of September 2006, leaving the
Judge who had ordered her to stand trial on December in the cold.
Oriana was a true heroine. She was an indefatigable enemy of
tyranny since she was an adolescent until she closed her eyes to
this world for ever. She will pass to history and will be
remembered mostly because of her fight to save Europe from
Islamofascism. Beatrice Siccardi, the judge who ordered Oriana to
stand for trial will also be remembered as the result. Oriana will
be remembered as a heroine, that other woman, for something else.
The Profile of a Useful Idiot
Yvonne Ridley
Yvonne Ridley (b 1959), came to prominence in September 2001 when
as a journalist she illegally entered in Afghanistan to find out
why the Taliban treated women so badly. She was captured and held
hostage for 11 days. She said she was treated with respect during
her captivity and upon her release, she converted to Islam.
Ridley, a three time divorcee, has a daughter from her first
husband who was a PLO colonel. Her third husband was also a
Muslim. Despite this she has claimed to have had no more knowledge
of Islam "than would fill the back of a postage stamp."
Reading the Qur'an, she says she found no justification for the
Taliban's actions, and converted to Islam in 2003. Despite this
claim she endorses all actions of the Taliban and other Islamic
terrorists. After her conversion she started to work for Al
Jazeera network helping them launch the English language version
of their website, but soon she proved to be too extremist, even
for a network like Al-Jazeerah who fired her because of her
"overly-vocal and argumentative style"
Ridley ran as a candidate for the anti western and pro Islamist
“Respect” party in the 2004 European Elections for the North East
England region but was not elected. She ran for other political
offices for the notorious “Respect” party and lost all of them.
Yvonne Ridley now is a vocal Muslim propagandist. She is the
presenter of The Agenda, the Islam Channel's politics and current
affairs show, broadcast Europe. She also writes a regular column
for the New York-based Daily Muslims.
Ridley has expressed her support for suicide bombings, calling it
"martyrdom operations." She says, "I hate the term 'suicide
bombers' it's an offensive term which was invented by the West to
ridicule what many people regard as 'martyrdom operations' and you
have to look at each one in context." She described radical cleric
Abu Hamza al-Masri who on 7 February 2006 was convicted for
inciting racial hatred and incitement to murder, as "quite sweet
really," while her former captors, the Taliban, had suffered an
"unfair press."
Ridley has given her total support to the
terrorists in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Chechnya and
Uzbekistan, who according to her are "freedom fighters" and as the
result has become a popular speaker in “anti-war” circles.
At a debate at Imperial College in London on 16 February 2006 she
described Israel as "that disgusting little watchdog of America
that is festering in the Middle East" and added that her party,
the "Respect Party", is the only British “Zionist-free party… if
there was any Zionism in the Respect Party they would be hunted
down and kicked out. We have no time for Zionists". (Hitler would
have been very proud.)
When asked what she thinks of militant Islamists distributing the
videos of the terrorists beheading hostages in Iraq, Ridley
replied that it was necessary for Muslims to have these videos at
home as an alternative form of news to what she perceived as the
propaganda of Western media. She has also compared British Prime
Minister Tony Blair with Pol Pot.
Ridley returned to Copenhagen in May 2006 to take part in a
conference on "Islamophobia" and was given a standing ovation
after urging Muslims not to "kneel before their enemies" or "kiss
the hand that slaps them."
She has defended the notorious terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who
had killed thousands of Iraqis in a campaign of violence in Iraq
and masterminded the bombing in Jordan that killed 60 and injured
115 persons in a wedding ceremony. She decried the outpouring of
the anger in Jordan in the wake of the bombing, as staged and the
work of "Jordanian troops out of uniform" and "government lackeys"
together with "Christian and Muslim Bedouins" who had all been
commandeered or paid to demonstrate by the Jordanian government
and the CIA. Al-Zarqawi was denounced by his family, a move that
Ridley thought "cowardly."
Ridley has urged all Muslims in Britain to "boycott the police and
refuse to co-operate with them in any way, shape or form,"
She has called the Chechen terrorist leader Shamil Basayev (the
mastermind of the Moscow theater hostage crisis and the Beslan
school massacre), “a martyr whose place in Paradise is assured”
and described his terrorism and massacre of children as "an
admirable struggle to bring independence to Chechnya". In response
to objections that Basayev's actions killed many civilians, Ridley
stated that he "resorted to targeting Russian civilians in the
latter years of his struggle to try and bring the plight of the
Chechen struggle to the wider world," and blamed the majority of
civilian casualties on Russian troops sent in to rescue the
hostages, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
