A friend of mine, a very well to do electrical engineer in Houston sent his 8 year very bright son to Karachi to a Madrasa. Within six months he became sick like a dog and had to be brought back. My friend did not give up, he sent him to Madrasa e Islamia and made him a hafiz.

There is no Compulsory education by law in Pakistan and the public education system does not work properly at all. That??s why many parents are forced to send their kids to the Madrasas where many kids receive radical brainwashings. This verse from quran says all muslims will go to hell and after some time the good muslims will be rescued from hell by Allah.-- Sura 19:71-72 "There will be no one of you who will not enter it (Hell). This was an inevitable decree of your Lord. Afterwards he may save some of the pious, God-fearing Muslims out of the burning fire." This verse tells clearly that all Muslims [everybody] will go to Hell, (inevitable, decreed, determined) and only some of them will eventually be rescued from Hell, while others will be left there forever. Why should anyone produce something like the quran when it is full of mistakes and contradictions? The Qur'an contradicts itself when it describes the substance of man's creation. It is He Who has Created man from water: Then has He established Relationships of lineage And marriage: for thy Lord Has power (over all things). The above are contradictions. They show that the Qur'an is inconsistent in its assertions and teachings. An inconsistent teaching cannot be from God. The idea that God would modify truth, which is what progressive revelation really claims, is ludicrous. Truth does not change.

Also from the Sunnah, specifically in a report from Al-Khatib, we find that the Messenger of Allah (saas) also said: Whoever hurts a non-Muslim person under protection, I am his adversary, and I shall be an adversary to him on the Day of Resurrection. In short, Islam is intolerant of false ideas, however it is tolerant of the people who hold to those ideas. One historical example of Muslims living up to the standard of Islam can be found from the time of the Spanish Inquisition. During that disaster sprung by misguided Catholics, some Spanish Jews fled to Muslim Turkey and to this day, there is a community of Spanish-speaking Jews in Turkey. Another example may be found during one of the Crusader invasions from Western Europe. Some of the the Catholic Western European knights were so likely to rape, murder, and pillage the Jews and Orthodox Christians, that when the Muslims won, they were treated as a liberating force by those non-Muslims. [2:136] Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us and that which was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. Ok . This means that according to you Islam considers all other religions as wrong but does not harm non muslims. And you have quoted some verses from the quran. I have not checked them out but let me consider them as true. But what about these verses from the quran?The following verses from the quran clearly state that violence against non muslims have to be used for the purpose of converting them to islam. There is no mention of self defense. Do you agree withis practise? Is it acceptable to you? Why the contradiction? Please answer. Sura (4:76) - "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah???"Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them. "Sura (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." Islam encourages the use of force and violence against non muslims to spread terror. Also the payment of jizya as protection money is discriminatory towards non muslims making them second class citizens. Also jizya amount is not stipulated so it can be very high amount which can make life unbearable for non muslims. The quranic verse clearly states the reason for imposing jizya which is to "make them feel subdued" (humiliated) This means after conquering the non muslim nations humiliate them and put pressure on them so that they will convert to islam. Is this tolerance? As for the spanish inquisition the church and the spanish authorities used the wrong methods but this is not justified by Jesus in his message. If you think that jesus encourage christians to use violence to convert and subdue non christians please show me the statements in the Gospel. These actions are noy approved by Jesus and cannot be accepted. Same with the massacre of non christians by the crusaders in jerusalem. Though these actions are unacceptable we have to see what the muslims were doing before the crusades began in the rest of the christian world. In turkey, syria, north africa, spain, italy and france before the crusades began as a reaction to what the muslims were doing. The crusaders had seen what the muslims did to their civilian population butchering them and carrying so many young christian women and boys to slavery to satisfy the unholy desires of their rulers. The crusaders did the same. I condemn such action but I can see what provoked them. In sicily all churces were destroyed and mosques built in their places and forcibly converted the christians to islam and settled large number of muslim people . The christians when they took back sicily reversed the trend equally ruthlessly. I condemn such actions but it was islam which carried the sword into christian countries first.

Peace be upon you brother Jonathan. My name is Tayyip. I am just a student following the Quran. I hope I can make the following suras in my own words as The way I understand it,clarify to you. I have mentioned only 3 Suras as I have commitments at work. Should you need any further clarifications I will try to clarify in a future date. Thank you. In {Sura 4.74 Let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah whether he is slain or gets victory soon shall We give him a reward of great (value). 4.75 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who being weak are ill-treated (and oppressed)? Men women and children whose cry is: "Our Lord! rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from Thee one who will protect; and raise for us from Thee one who will help!" 4.75 those who believe fight in the cause of Allah and those who reject faith fight in the cause of evil: so fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.} The Quran mentions In Sura 4.74 to 4.76 to fight for the Oppressed. ??? {Sura 8.5= Just as thy Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth even though a party among the believers disliked it. 8.6= Disputing with thee concerning the truth after it was made manifest as if they were being driven to death and they (actually) saw it. 8.7= Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties that it should be yours: ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours but Allah willed to justify the truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the unbelievers. 8.8= That He might justify and prove falsehood false distasteful though it be to those in guilt. 8.9= Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels ranks on ranks. 8.10= Allah made it but a message of hope and an assurance to your heart: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah: and Allah is exalted in power wise. 8.11= Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness to give you calm as from Himself and He caused rain to descend on you from heaven to clean you therewith to remove from you the stain of satan to strengthen your hearts and to plant your feet firmly therewith. 8.12= Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."} These Suras 8.5 to 8.12 mentions when the prophets Uncle passed away, the proction he received from the Quraish was not valid anymore and he had to leave the City of Mecca to Medinah as he was now a Wanted man to the Quraish of Mecca. "{Sura (9:29) - = Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth (even if they are) of the People of the Book until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.} This Sura mentions that when the Prophet conqured Mecca without sheding bloodhe requested that if anyone feared for there lives in under the banner of islam could leave or if anyone wanted to remain to pay a jeziya. Jaziya means compensation which was a poll tax levied from those who did not accept Islam but werewilling to live under the protection of Islam. There was no amount permanently fixed for it. It was in aknkledgment that those whose religion was tolerated would in their turn not interfere with the preaching and progress of Islam. The tax veried in amount and there were exemptions for the poor, for females and children, for slaves, and for monks and hermits.

Mr. Tayip thank you for putting an argument forward. You have not mentioneD all the quotes I gave save for two. You have stated that muhamed failed to persuade the meccans to follow islam and accept him as a prophet in the beginning. Moreover he had to run from mecca because of the threat to his personal safety. When he realised that meccans will not listen to persuasion he resorted to the use of force. So muhamed builds a gang of his followers who rob and kill pilgrims and caravans which are going to mecca. He does this to punish the meccans for not accepting him as prophet. This is banditry and murder. What muhamed is showing by his example is that if you cannot convert people peacefully start using violnce, murder, and looting to pressure your opponents. Finally both meccans and muhamed realised that they could not destroy each other. So they came to an understanding. The meccans were told that their caravans would not be attacked. Their city would continue to be the centre of pilgrimage and profit financially from the pilgrims only if they accept that muhamed was the prophet of allah . They could still carry on worshipping the same moon god allah which their ancestors worshipped at the kaaba even before muhameds time, only they were not allowed to worship the other gods which the meccans considered to be the companions of allah. Once the meccans and muhamed reached this understanding muhamed entered mecca without bloodshed. A mixture of force, diplomacy, and inducement (greed) finally allowed muhamed to return to mecca as a victor. However muhamed still killed a few people who had made fun of him before he fled mecca. About jizya - tax on non muslims is discriminatory. It is the duty of the state to protect all its citizens and that is why taxes are paid to keep a military force , law and order etc. But to make a person pay a special tax just because he is a minority is treating him as a second class citizen and is humiliating. The purpose of jizya is very clearly stated by the quran."--- until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued." This only proves that according to the quran jizya is meant mainly for making the non muslims feel subdued (humiliated/frightened). Why should one class of citizens feel subdued and humiliated? The answer - to pressure them into finally converting to islam to escape financial hardship and ruin. Do you not have the honesty to accept what the quran is clearly saying. Muhamed could say it clearly but you as a follower do not have the courage to accept his viewpoint. I understand that there are verses which are opposite to that which encourage violence. But this only shows that there are contradictions in the quran. If a teaching has contradictions it cannot be true.

Mr.Tayyip I understood from your comments that Muhamed collected an army of 10,000 and marched on mecca. The meccans surrendered because of fear of loosing their lives. This is muhamed using force to convert non muslims to islam as he always advocated. In the last stage no battle was fought but the threat of the use of force and death converted the meccans. But peace means more than the absence of violence. It means an environment free of threats, an atmosphere of harmony. The very fact that muhamed was approaching the city frightened the meccans. So the environment was not peaceful. This is still conversion by force. What made it wasier for the meccans was that they could still worship the same pagan god allah but not the other gods of the kaaba. Only they had to accept muhamed as ruler , a person they dispised (hated). Accordind to you Jazya is a compensation or fine which is similar to what a criminal pays to the authorities for crimes committed against the forces of law and order and society. Which goes to show that islam considers non muslims as criminals and "violators of allah" (your words) who have to be punished for not accepting islam as their religion. Oh yes I understood very clearly what Islam represents. Your description of muhameds victory over mecca reinforces my understanding of him as a man of violence.

The prophet wanted to perform the pilgrimage. He was not allowed to enter mecca the year before instead ask to come next year. So when the agreement was broken he entered mecca with 10000 pilgrims not for war. Although the meccans at that time thought he was invading, the Prophet clence the Kaaba from idols, performed his pilgrim and thats it.If you guys are sincere why not understand it, Just quotings from here and there, read the entire chapter. Muhamed conducted his pilgrimage of mecca at the head of a large army of 10,000 men. That is clear from History. He had made an earlier attempt which was unsuccesful and which resulted in the treaty of hudaybiyah. The next attempt resulted in the capitulation of the meccans. They gave in to muhameds demand to convert to islam in exchange for sparing their lives and not destroying their city.
