Algebra existed in ancient Egypt, thousands of years before Muhammad, and was improved upon by the ancient Babylonians.  The Greeks contributed quadratics.  Hindus gave the concept of zero and irrational numbers.  While the word “algebra” derives from Arabic, Arab Muslims only absorbed Persian and Hindu state of the art and made a few contributions.  Europeans created advanced algebraic symbolism and formulation during the enlightenment and renaissance periods that succeeded the removal of Islam from Europe.

Islamic Arabs invented and deployed advanced architectural methods

Arabs wrote mostly about a few subjects that were not forbidden by the Koran.  Stories from other cultures were adapted (taken) and rewritten (plagiarized) for Islamic consumption.  Islam’s contribution was to have used its right of conquest to rewrite stories into Arabic, and therefore preserve ancient Greek, Roman, and Persian works of literature.

But the “Golden Age” was not even a result of Islam.  The so-called Golden Age of Islam, which did give rise to scientists, Philosophers, and scholars, was dominated by a departure from Islamic principles and toward secular free thinking.  The zeitgeist of the Golden Age was a strong Islamic heresy called Mutazili, from the 8th century (early in Islam’s reign) in Basra (the Islamic city of terror in Iraq!).  It was sponsored by a number of Caliphs, but was known throughout the empire as a dangerous heresy to Islam, and was eventually suppressed.  This interpretation of Islam contradicted the Koran, but supported a level of academic freedom that allowed Islam to absorb Western culture from the Greeks, Romans, and Eastern ideas from Persia and India.  Under its influence, “Islam” advanced in knowledge to the precise degree that it diluted or rejected Islamic authority.

After the fall of the Roman Empire certain regions, namely Italy itself, southern France and Spain, retained a tradition of literacy in government, commerce, law and religion. Further north across Germany and France to England the mobile barbarian peoples who gained supremacy (the Holy Roman Empire) were both pagan and illiterate. So Islam didn’t assist the vastly superior literacy of the old Roman civilization.  In fact, by displacing Christianity and Judaism, and by threatening the Byzantine Empire, Islam threatened literacy. 

Muslims point to the libraries they established.  But interestingly these libraries were never established in Arabia, either before or after their invasions.  One was in Spain and the other in Persia…where stores of knowledge pre-existed the rise of Islam. 

What brought literacy to the common man of Europe was a number of factors? First was the spread of Christianity, and widespread reading of the Bible.  A literate culture was reintroduced along through the establishment of monastic missions across northwestern Europe.  Moreover, Europe experienced a rise in wealth that had occurred as the Muslim spice and silk trade routes were bypassed by increasingly superior Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese (and eventually British and American) naval powers.  The European economy and literacy began to flourish during the Renaissance, only after containing the Islamic threat, which led to the invention of the printing press (not an Islamic invention) and the spread of literacy to the laity.  The rise in literacy and freedom of thought, the reformation, and the stability of the Holy roman Empire allowed Europe to rise in culture, civilization, and power.  To this day, Muslims are among the least literate people on the earth.  In 1300 years of history, no Islamic scholar has ever produced anything like the works of Shakespeare.

Islam improved Europe by unceremoniously leaving Europe.  It was evicted.  As the Moors conquered Spain and simultaneously threatened the Eastern Empire, European civilization had to re-invent itself, cooperate, and find the resources to repel the invading forces so as to allow its Judeo-Christian heritage to flourish, and allow freedom to evolve. 

The defense of Europe began with Charlemagne and the nascent Holy Roman Empire.  It was greatly aided by the numerous Crusades, which repelled the invaders and bought time for the Church and feudal governments to reform European society.  After 700 years of defending itself, Europeans finally drove out their corrupt, Muslim masters in Spain.  Immediately afterwards, Islam, sacked Constantinople (held against Islamic hordes for 700 years by crusaders).  By sacrificing Constantinople, Rome became the undisputed Christian power center.  Money, power, and leadership flowed once again from the Italian peninsula.  Consequently, it was in Italy that the Renaissance began, and human achievement was revived, long dormant since the fall of Rome. 

As Islam lost its ability to control eastern trade and as it became too weak to dominate and coerce its occupied lands, it crawled back into obscurity, gaining and losing territories, but never contributing to modern ideas.  Islam reverted to obscurity in precise correlation with its inability to usurp the rights of non-Islamic nations. Unlike the empires of the Persians, Greeks, and Romans, which are remembered for so many reasons, the Muslim empires, absent a legacy to civilization have been forgotten.

Islam was spread by Muslim armies invading portions of the old Roman empire that were in decline after the split of the Christian Roman empire, during the Byzantine period.  Islamic warfare was so brutal, and the way it treated infidels was so harsh, that the only way many people could survive was to convert to Islam after occupation.

Once Islam won a war, it entered a period of pillaging, raping, and the taking of slaves.  This practice continues today in the Sudan under officially sanctioned Islamic policy.  Once the looting period was over and everyone had their booty and slaves, Islam offers the remaining conquered people a choice:  Join the ranks of Islam and go to war with the next territory, and you have the chance to usurp their wealth and get your own slaves…or, become a second class citizen with few rights and pay a severe tax to the Islamic empire for your infidelity.  Is there any wonder how Islam spread so rapidly.  It was like a giant pyramid scheme run by the mafia.

Just like today, the Arab Muslims of the middle ages controlled a vital commodity…the spice trade.  Arab traders managed to maintain a near-monopoly over the sale of spices to Europe, predominantly through their Venetian agents. Looking at the elaborately ornate, oriental-influenced marble palaces that still characterize Venice today, we get some sense of the value of the wealth that the spice trade was able to generate. Spices were for a time the most valuable commodities in the world. Black pepper was a more reliable currency standard than gold, and in the 14th century one pound of nutmeg had the value of seven fattened oxen.

But all empires rise and fall on their economic foundation.  During the 15th century, several powerful forces began working together to disrupt the traditional spice trading system. The Arabian monopoly was tightening, and prices were starting to skyrocket. At the same time European military and naval technologies were beginning to overtake those of the world's other seafaring nations, while maritime technological and insurance innovation were also making long-distance sea voyages a much less risky undertaking.

By the 1490's, all the conditions were in place for a dramatic change in the power balance of world trade. First off the blocks, Spain dispatched Christopher Columbus westward in search of the spice regions of India, in order to bypass the Islamic empire. His voyage, although ultimately highly profitable for Spain, did not turn up any spice. A Spanish fleet, led by Ferdinand Magellan, even circumnavigated the world in an attempt to corner the trade of cloves.

Once the Europeans had cut out the middleman, so to speak, Islam as theocratic, military, and social paradigm was finished.  It provided no intrinsic value to a world awakening to freedom and toleration.  Islam is not remembered for any significant contributions to civilization.

The entire Koran is a treatise on vanquishing all competing religions and establishing complete domination of non-believers.  Infidels who do not convert after being conquered live without rights, and must pay a “protection” tax.  Apostasy is punishable by death according to Sharia.  Islam is nothing if not about warfare, coercion, and cruelty. 

“According to the venerable Abu Musa, Allah’s Messenger has said: The portals of heaven lie under the shadow of the sword. On hearing this a lean and emaciated man stood up and said: O Abu Musa, did you hear this hadîs with your own ears? ‘Yes’, said Abu Musa, and then and there the man went up to his companions and said: I bid you salaam. So saying he broke the sheath of his sword and proceeded towards the enemies. He killed many with that sword and ultimately attained martyrdom himself.” No. 4549 of Mishkãt 

.  “(as) Abu Sufyan returned home, he met a one-eyed shepherd. The shepherd and the Muslim man both identified themselves as members of the same Arab clan. Prior to going asleep, the shepherd said that he would never become a Muslim. Umayya waited for the shepherd to fall asleep, and thereafter:  ‘as soon as the badu was asleep and snoring I got up and killed him in a more horrible way than any man has been killed. I put the end of my bow in his sound eye, then I bore down on it until I forced it out at the back of his neck.’  Umayya returned and spoke with Muhammad. He relates…’He [Muhammad] asked my news and when I told him what had happened he blessed me’.”64

The reason the Mongol hordes invaded India and the Middle East and obliterated Islam in the East was because the arrogant Caliphs made a habit out of beheading Mongol emissaries.  The Kahn finally had enough and invaded India and Persia, slaughtering the audacious, bigoted Muslims. 

But Islam has never respected human or religious rights in any regard.  It is by far the most brutal and intolerant religion on earth…

“Over 280,000 Ugandans killed during the reign of Muslim Idi Amin from 1971 to 1979.”

“Over 30,000 Mauritanians have been killed by the Islamic dictators since 1960.”

“In 1980, 20,000 Syrians were murdered under the rule of Hafez Al-Assad, President of Syria.”

“Since 1992 120,000 Algerians have been murdered by the Islamic fundamentalist army.”

“Militant and murderous incidents involving Muslim aggression are taking place all over the world.  Every day, a thousand people will die from Islamic religious hatred.” 

“Islam has a stranglehold in the south of the Philippines, and in Indonesia, which with its 212 million inhabitants is the most populated Muslim country in the world.”

“Christians are currently being slaughtered in Java, East Timor the Philippines, and the Moluccas.” 

Muslims are infamous for cooperation with the Nazi’s, and contemporary terrorism against other religions.  During Islam’s reign of terror in India, it massacred an estimated 50 million people.  Hindu records show the deaths of 100,000 slaves captured by Muslim armies during transportation to Persia.  Islam continues to destroy and desecrate thousands of Hindu, Buddhist temples and Christian churches.  Christians in Sudan, Iraq, Philippines, and Europe are targeted for murder.  Muslim Jihadists have been terrorizing Kashmirian Hindus for decades.

The Koran says: “Against them (the unbelievers) make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.” Koran 8.060

Islam means “submission”, which is compelled under threat of harsh punishments and death.  Islam represents a religious superstructure under which all decisions in life are subordinate.  Peace to a Muslim can only be attained after the world has been subjugated by force.  The highest reward for a Muslim is to defeat infidels in Jihad and become a martyr.  The Arabic word for “peace” is Salaam, derived from the Hebrew, Shalom. 

“Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost (in conquest): for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds.” Koran 47.035

While early writings in the Koran indicate an uncomfortable affinity towards Christians, all such sentiments have been abrogated, and replaced with vitriol.  To many Muslims, Christianity represents the worst form of heresy to Allah.  As helpers of the Jews, Christians must be slaughtered and subjugated in order to make way for the coming Islamic kingdom on earth.  Hadith:  “The Jews and the Christians are the enemies of the believers. They will not be favorably disposed toward Muslims and it is necessary to be cautious [in dealing with them] ."

“For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him: They will not believe.” Koran 8.055

“O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be harsh against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed.” Koran 9.073

“O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.” Koran 5.051

“They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.” Koran 5.073

From the day Muhammad arrived in Medina, he ordered the assassination of Jews, and the theft of their property.  When he overran through slaughter Jewish villages, he imposed his own version of Jewish Law upon them, in the strictest of ways.  In fact, to Muslims, Jews are as “pigs and apes”, the worst creatures in Allah’s kingdom.

Shortly after arriving in Medina…“The apostle (Muhammad) said, ‘Kill any Jew that falls into your power.’ Hereupon Muhayyisa b. Masud leapt upon Ibn Sunayna, a Jewish merchant with whom they had social and business relations, and killed him.

To the Muslims, Jews are an absolute abomination to God, and are named to be the enemies of Islam until the world is destroyed by the great “Armageddon” that must precede the establishment of Allah’s kingdom on earth.

Most Muslim children are taught that Jews are responsible for all the trouble in the world and that it is the Muslim’s duty to answer Muhammad’s call to Jihad, even sacrificing your life for the cause of territorial victory in war.  This is what all Muslim children are taught, not just “extremists”, because it is central to the very definition of Islam.

Hadith: "It is Allah's wisdom that the struggle between Muslims and Jews shall continue until the Day of Judgment." 

"The Hadith brings forth the glad tidings about the ultimate victory, with Allah's help, of Muslims over Jews." 

Abu Hurayra, one of the Prophet's companions who quoted the Prophet as saying: "The hour [the Day of Judgment] will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them. A Jew will [then] hide behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will call upon the Muslim: 'O Muslim, O slave of Allah! there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!' - except for the gharqad tree, for it is one of the trees of the Jews."

Muslim women are above infidels and animals, but well below the status of men according to Sharia law.  Punishments for women are more severs than for men; women cannot inherit equal wealth to men; women are not entitled to the same education as men; women cannot have a harem, but men can; women must be veiled, but not men; women cannot divorce a man, but men can easily divorce a woman; by law, men are allowed to beat their wives. 

The Koran says: “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient.”

The 69th verse of Sûrah Anfãl declares:  “Eat ye the spoils of war. They are lawful and pure.”   

Now enjoy what ye have won, as lawful and good, and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.  Koran 8.069

Allah promiseth you much booty that ye will capture, and hath given you this in advance, and hath withheld men's hands from you, that it may be a token for the believers, and that He may guide you on a right path. Koran 48.020

“And know that whatever thing you gain (in victorious conquest), a fifth (of it) is for Allah and for the Messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you believe in Allah and in that which We revealed to Our servant, on the day of distinction, the day on which the two parties met; and Allah has power over all things.” Koran 8.041

There is a scriptural reason that the entire Muslim world goes up in flames when somewhere on earth, Islam or Muhammad is mocked.  The actions of Muhammad are considered absolute holy perfection by Muslims.  What Muhammad did and said must be reenacted and observed throughout the lives of all Muslims.  There is simply no room for equivocation, hesitation, or moderation. 

And, Muhammad routinely ordered the assassinations of those who offended him by mocking him with poetry, sarcasm, ridicule, or public displays of disobedience.  This means it is the required response to such actions today. 

“This one (request for an honor killing) for his men to murder an old Jewish man named Abu Afak.  Abu Afak, a man of great age (reputedly 120 years) was killed because he lampooned Mohammad. The deed was done by Salem b. 'Omayr at the behest of the Prophet, who had asked, ‘Who will deal with this rascal for me?’” 

The killing of such an old man moved a poetess, Asma b. Marwan, to compose disrespectful verses about the Prophet, and she too was assassinated.” When the assassin prayed with the prophet at al-Medina, Muhammad said to him: "’Have you slain the daughter of Marwan?’ The assassin said: ‘Yes. Is there something more for me to do?’ He [Muhammad] said: ‘No two goats will butt together about her.’”62 

What official Islamic authorities complained when the Ayatollah Khomeini issues a contract on Salman Rushdie’s head for writing the Satanic Verses?  What would possess a high cleric to do so?

Jihad means violent, aggressive warfare in which the infidels are forced to submit to the supreme law and authority of Islam, and are forced to live as second class citizens and pay an infidel tax to Muslims. 

According to the Historian al-Baladhuri, writing only 200 years after Muhammad, the prophet said: "Peace be upon the one who follows the right path! I call you to Islam.  Accept my call, and you shall be unharmed. I am God's Messenger to mankind, and the word shall be carried out upon the miscreants. If therefore, you recognize Islam, I shall bestow power upon you. But if you refuse to accept Islam, your power shall vanish, my horses shall camp on the expanse of your territory and my prophecy shall prevail in your kingdom." 

There are hundreds of references in the Koran (written during Islam’s onslaught) to violent slaughter and warfare as being the only and correct definition of Islam. 

“Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.” Koran 2.216 

Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme. Koran 9.111 

“Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: ‘I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah.’" (1.2.24) 

“Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, "’(war) Booty has been made legal for me.’" (4.53.351) 

“Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ashari: A bedouin asked the Prophet, ‘A man may fight for the sake of booty, and another may fight so that he may be mentioned by the people, and a third may fight to show his position (i.e. bravery); which of these regarded as fighting in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet said, "He who fights so that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights for Allah's Cause.’" (4.53.355) 

“Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, ‘Allah guarantees him who strives in His Cause and whose motivation for going out is nothing but Jihad in His Cause and belief in His Word, that He will admit him into Paradise (if martyred) or bring him back to his dwelling place, whence he has come out, with what he gains of reward and booty.’"  (4.53.352)

“Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): ‘I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite (carve/cut) ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.’” Koran 8.012 

Terrorism is a tactic that is perfectly permitted in Islamic warfare.  In fact, Muhammad (speaking for Allah) commands it!  Moreover, Islamic Jihad may never end until the world is purged of the influence of all infidels through Islamic conquest.  So get used to it.  While we believe it surfaced in the 1990’s, Islamic terrorism was rampant during the Spanish American War, and well before that.  Islamic terrorism is a constant. 

Islamic terrorists respect only superior force, not peaceful overtures, which they see as a sign of weakness.  Terrorism is a tactic, among many others in a never-ending battle to control the world.

The crescent moon and star symbol actually pre-dates Islam by several thousand years.  Information on the origins of the symbol are difficult to ascertain, but most sources agree that these ancient celestial symbols were in use by the peoples of Central Asia and Siberia in their worship of sun, moon, and sky gods.  There are also reports that the crescent moon and star were used to represent the Carthaginian goddess Tanit or the Greek goddess Diana.

The city of Byzantium (later known as Constantinople and Istanbul) adopted the crescent moon symbol.  According to some reports, they chose it in honor of the goddess Diana.  Others indicate that it dates back to a battle in which the Romans defeated the Goths on the first day of a lunar month.  In any event, the crescent moon was featured on the city's flag even before the birth of Christ.

The early Muslim community did not really have a symbol.  During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islamic armies and caravans flew simple solid-colored flags (generally black, green, or white) for identification purposes.  In later generations, the Muslim leaders continued to use a simple black, white, or green flag with no markings, writing, or symbolism on it.

It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world.

The Palestinians are being used by the terrorists and “moderate” Arab countries as cover to generate a desire to ethnically cleanse the Israel.  Not only have no Muslim nations lifted a finger to allow the displaced Palestinians into their countries, they are mistreated by those Muslim countries.

Moreover, contrary to Islamic propaganda, most Palestinians were displaced during the 1948 War in which 5 Arab nations declared unprovoked war on Israel…at the request of Arab leaders who wished their “brothers” to leave the battle zone until the Jews were defeated.  The Israelis had no policy of expelling their population.  But after wining the war, Israel did not want traitors and potential terrorists to re-enter their land.  It should not be so easy to enter and egress a country you refuse to fight for.

Many of the Palestinians displaced were not native to Israel.  They immigrated there after the Jews invested huge amounts of money in the area and improved it during the British ownership.  Jewish land and industry owners welcomed the low wage workers and treated them as full citizens.  Today, Israel is home to over one million Arab/Palestinian citizens.

Religions don’t really cause much fighting any more…all except one.  The Irish problem was economic and territorial independence from English rule.  It had noting to do with an attempt to dominate or eliminate one denomination by another.  African warfare is either directly caused by Islamic aggression (Sudan, Ethiopia), or tribal in-fighting by people belonging to the same religion.

Islam stands alone as the world’s only inherently violent religion.  Although there is one secular belief system that is responsible for the deaths of perhaps 100 million people in the 20th century:  Communism…making the claim that religion is the primary cause of conflict even more untenable.

Even during the Crusades and Christian protestant conflicts in Europe, and the conquest of America, the warfare could not be conducted in the name of Christ.  Because it is in conflict with scripture, war could be justified by Christians, but not on religious grounds, and certainly not as a way to spread the faith.

The institution of slavery is not a Christian theme.  Christ neither condemned it nor sanctioned it, because it was not central to his message of eternal salvation.  And, the word slave in the Bible refers to many kinds of servitude.  Debt was the main factor in transforming a peasant farmer or artisan into a slave (Ex 22:2; 2 Kgs 4:1) - though poverty that did not involve debt to the new master might also cause people to sell themselves as slaves (Lev 25:39).  In theory such slaves in Israel returned to free status at jubilee, however they could choose to remain in the household of the master (Ex 21:5-6; Dt 15:16-17).

The message of Christ was not about specific cures to specific sins, but about God’s plan.  He knew that in heaven, the low would be high.  He left it to people to examine their hearts and do what God would want given the Christian principles of brotherly love.  Jesus Christ wanted man to be spiritually yoked to God…not the Law.  Be a slave to the Law or free in Christ (Keep in mind many slaves in that era were paying off debts, not people captured in war).

Jewish Law regarding slavery permits it.  Slavery was universal at the time the Torah was written.  But Jews, who see themselves as having been freed from slavery by God, do not look at slavery as a good or wise policy.  Slavery is illegal in Israel, even though that country has a sizable black market in “human trafficking”.  It is forbidden in all Western countries.

On the other hand, Islamic law is not so flexible.  What Muhammad did and said is absolute perfection and cannot be questioned.  The best you can do is emulate Muhammad and do as he says.  Muhammad owned many slaves and specifically allowed Muslims to own slaves captured in war, to the point of codifying rights, just like the rights of women or unindentured infidels.

“For the present, Allah hath lightened your (task), for He knoweth that there is a weak spot in you: But (even so), if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they will vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.” Koran 8.066

“It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war (slaves) until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. Koran 8.067

“Had it not been for a previous ordainment from Allah, a severe penalty would have reached you for the (ransom) that ye took.” Koran 8.068

“But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good: but fear Allah: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.” Koran 8.069

Both Islam and Christianity practice human sacrifice. 

Christianity teaches that the highest honor of a man is to sacrifice a life of self-driven pursuits to a life of servitude to God and sacrifice to your fellow man. Christ died for your sins, and before you can become a Christian, you must spiritually die, and be reborn of Christ. 

Islam teaches that the highest honor a man can achieve to Allah is to sacrifice (martyr) himself in violent Jihad as part of the struggle to create an Islamic theocracy on earth.  Dying in this way is supreme.  And all martyrs are richly rewarded in heaven.

Islam permits lying in four general circumstances: 1st, to save one's life; 2nd, to effect a peace or reconciliation; 3rd, to persuade a woman (evidently a Woman has no equivalent rights!); 4th, on the occasion of a journey or expedition.

But it actively encourages deceit in war…and war is the eternal condition of life, until all lands are conquered by Islam.  “Let those fight (in war) in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Who so fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or victorious, on him we shall bestow a vast reward.”

4:267,269 Muhammad said, "War is deceit."

“And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters.” Koran 8.030

Allah gave permission for his personal hit squad to lie in order to carry out assassinations!  Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." ... Imam Abu Hammid Ghazali says: "Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible."
