- Well in my previous post I discussed the time when I was worried about the gender of God. But as a proud Muslim I must not think about it and secondly I was reaching my own gender’s awareness so I tried to focus on some other things. The heavy bearded fat Mullah was still there as I went to his home.
“Mullah Sahib (sir)….what does God say about s*x?” I asked with a genuine shyness.
“Ohhhhh…God is great….seventy + beautiful virgins are waiting for every Muslim.” His eyes came out like two little balloons.
“Really…..please give me the address.” I said with uttermost joy.
“Damn you Muslims of today….Sinners…You can’t have them until and unless you do as what I say…I mean as what God told.”
I looked at the window where his college going daughter was trying to have a glimpse of the situation.
“But sir I am not a sinner…I don’t even know what Sin means,” I plead.
“Ah….God knows what is in your heart….he knows that you are not that sincere to Him. You don’t come to the mosque and have never attended our daily lessons. And what about those little semi social-democratic articles of yours which were published in some newspapers.”
I could see a red birth mark on the neck of the girl behind the window.
“You know what” He growled. “God has given many liberties to Muslim men. He says “women are your pastures……. plough them……” but you western-minded people, you think that West is the best”.
“No……that’s not exactly what I say or think…I just raise voice for rights…human rights…. and peace and liberty…No matter its West or East…..people should live in harmony……I believe…….”
“God protect me……I don’t want to know about what you say, think or believe…….,” he screamed and ordered me to leave.
To get the address of 70 virgins I started going to mosque and even started attending the daily lessons which were the repetition of same words and explanations. I even started reading religious history books. Then I came to know very strange things. All Muslim men from 18 to 60 were very keen of God, Prophet and women. Or should I change the phrase. It's women, women and women. God and his prophet are just for a showoff. After every prayer they gathered outside the mosque and openly discussed the private parts of women and scanned every girl, passing by, from head to toe. When the trust grew they even invited me to watch some good “Stuff” on their DVD player in a special Red Room.
It was the holy dawn of the holy month of fasting and all of us were stuffed by the “Stuff” which we had watched all night. One pious Muslim switched off the player as there was that first call from the mosque to prepare for the fast.
“God is great…..Oh …….so we shall now meet again tonight….God willing. Lets get our baths and later shall we pray.”
That afternoon Mullah was screaming in his holy address of Friday.
“God wants you to marry…O yes he does…….and the prophet said that if you see women and have a desire, then rush to your home and lay down with your wives and ease your desire; because, they have the same “thing” which other women have. O… God is great….. see how sensible is the Prophet… isn’t he, brothers?”
“God is great….” The crowd bellowed.
“Yes very sensible……He had thirteen and I don’t have even one.” I thought.
That night when I entered the Red Room I could see that the show was on. Two young beards were involved in Kamasutra. With holy ecstatic smiles on their faces they looked at me and asked me to join the brotherhood.
“No thanks….I am waiting for the seventy strippers.” I tried to smile back.
The night sky was sparkling with stars when I lay down on the couch at the rooftop of my house. I heard a noise.
“Who…who is there?” I was a bit afraid.
“It's me….” A female voice ???????
“You..???????? What are you doing here???” I asked in ultimate surprise.
“You see that adjacent roof…that is my sister’s house. I came to visit her…and… I knew that you live here so I jumped over the wall.” The brave daughter of Mullah….the girl with the red birth mark giggled. It was dark and she had covered herself in a black sheet.
“I have read some of your articles……I liked them….do you write them here.”
“Yes…but…does your father know that you are here?”
“Oh and you think about my father too…well do you think about what he says.” She asked.
“Yes….I do…like I think about God…Prophet and sins and piousness…. Nothing new?
“And what about other things he tells you…?
“Other things?????”
“Ummm..like something he said about women... pastures ….ploughing…”
“O yes…..he said that women are our pastures and we must plough them.” I recalled the whole sentence.
She came closer to me and murmured in my ear.” Then why don’t you plough your pasture now.” She threw away her sheet and I was stunned. In my heart, I really thanked my brothers who let me have those tutorials in the Red Room and above all Mullah Sahib for that precious piece of holy sayings.
“God is great……………..” The call for the dawn prayers woke me up. She was gone but her fragrance was still in the air and every single inch of my body was aching due to immense relief.
“God is great……………” The caller informed again.
I stretched myself. “O yes……. He is…..and so am I…”

Although your religion with no philosophical depth may survive for a while with hook or crook and you may be put in high regards by the public but eventually when people get access to better material, same public will drown you with their piss and spit. Hinduism is without leaders because the leaders just inspire the people to stay in harmony with nature, people and oneself, they don’t stay overjealously around with a stick to control people and force them to do, what leader think is right. What if the leader is wrong and the follower is right in something? So from time to time there appears many leaders in Hinduism but they just put there view, they don’t force people to follow them, its people own assessment, what view they want to go with. Hinduism at large does try to accommodate whatever as long as it’s not hurting others and if it’s good then many people may turn to it. Anyway what’s the role of religion, it’s to find ways to live ones life peacefully with nature and others and die peacefully. Hinduism is about seeking the perfect balance, not about wasting time in unnecessary childish thinking such as Islam. If you talk about fighting on God’s name then although I worship and believe in a guiding God but when I try to write a name on the top of this paragraph for my God, I have to think a lot. I don’t know whether the name of God I worship is Shiva or Maha Dev or Dev or Sankar or Bhola or Bhootnath or Holy Ghost or Ganga Dhar and so on, because I never thought before, that name is also important; it was just in my heart as unnamed emotion, worshipped only with care and kindness for his creation.
