The sign held by the burqa-clad woman said, BRITISH POLICE GO TO HELL! Sure, she was distraught and more than a bit confused—it was a criminal trial and had not turned out the way she might have wished—still it wasn’t a nice thing to say to the Bobbies who had been risking life and limb to protect Muslim women from the vicious assaults of their enemies. Hadn’t the police kept the Jews and the dhimmis under control? A Muslim woman could walk the streets without fear of being molested by a Hindu or a Sikh or a Quaker. Tariq Ramadan had been knighted. Of course, the cops hadn’t been anywhere near that effective in protecting them from their fathers and brothers and third-cousins—honor killings were on the increase. But that was Shar’ia and it was what they wanted, wasn’t it?

There have been a few successes. The system found Mahmod Mahmod and his dim-witted brother, Ari, guilty of murder for hiring two thugs to kill Mahmod’s daughter, 20-year-old Banaz Mahmod, for falling in love with the wrong man. It took a while. The wheels of justice grind slowly without Judge Roy Bean. Banaz was raped and tortured before she was buried in a suitcase in a garden in Birmingham. The hit men jumped up and down on her neck to “get the soul out.” Certainly the sign-holder and her companions welcomed that rare victory over Muslim masculinity.

But for the grace of Allah it could have been anyone of them in that suitcase. Even Daddy Warbucks couldn’t have gotten them out of a mess like that. What does the Qur’an say?

Tabari IX:113 “Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing in themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Qur’an.”

Tabari I:280 “Because Allah afflicted Eve, all women of the world menstruate and are stupid.”

BRITISH POLICE GO TO HELL! Was the woman holding the sign stupid? Were her companions stupid? Were they menstruating? Were they men? Who could tell? Even Hugh Hefner and George Costanza would have been hard pressed to make a call. Like the song says: look for the dark and the roving eye, the nikab hides the ‘hair hanging down in ring-a-lets.’ Were they nice girls, were they proper girls, but of the roving kind? Who knows? The chances are—one way or the other—they would have terrified Cotton Mather.

They had gathered outside Old Bailey—about 40 of them—to protest the conviction of four Muslim men for inciting violence during the Jyllands-Posten Mohammad cartoon controversy. Three of the miscreants were sentenced to six years durance vile for inciting violence and racial hatred. Abdul Saleem, apparently a less violent type, got four years in the slammer for merely inciting racial hatred. Police photographed the protestors. Everyone in the crowd seemed to be holding a sign or placard of some sort. MUSLIMS UNDER SIEGE! CHRISTIAN CRUSADE AGAINST ISLAM! MUSLIMS PERSECUTED FOR THEIR BELIEFS! (Persecuted for their beliefs? Sure, and so was Hitler—belatedly)

The Judge glowered at the defendants. ‘With freedom comes respect and responsibility,” he said, “None of which was demonstrated by you. What you were part of was the complete opposite of peaceful protest.”

“We shall continued to take incitement seriously,” said Director of Public Prosecutions Sir Ken Macdonald, “and prosecute it robustly where there is enough evidence for us to do so.” As robustly as Benny Hill? Hopefully. But it won’t be easy if the gendarmerie is sent to hell. And there’s more to it than inciting violence—there are honor killings, suicide bombings and female genital mutilation. The latter appears to be on a serious increase in England. Who will put a crimp to this disgusting crime if not the much-maligned Bobbies? Red Ken Livingstone? George Galloway? Sir Tariq Ramadan? Sure, anyone of them. Tariq is a follower of one of Islam’s foremost thinkers and theologians, Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Yusuf led the prayers at the funeral of Tariq’s father in Cairo in 1995. They are as close as fleas in the Prophet’s beard. Qaradawi supports female circumcision, wife beating and the execution of homosexuals. Tariq has written prefaces to collections of al-Qaradawi’s famous fatwas.

A mid wife who treats victims of female circumcision estimates that 400 to 500 women fall victim to this ugly practice every year in London alone. Tariq shrugs it off. Christians and Polytheists were practicing female circumcision long before Mohammad came along. It is an ancient custom.

Female circumcision was banned in England in 2003 and penalties for the crime were enhanced in 2004 to further discourage the practice. A parent can get up to 14 years in jail for taking his daughter overseas for ‘corrective surgery.’ Needless to say, no one has ever been prosecuted for the crime. The police are now offering a $40,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of a ‘circumcizer.’ The most ever offered for Jesse James was $10,000 There was a time not too long ago when Doctors were told to treat these cases ‘sympathetically.’ One can still smells the stench of politically correctness.

Maybe the problem is not with the number of circumcisions but with the type of circumcision. What does the hadith say? (Sunan Abu-Dawud: book 41, number 5251, Hasan) “A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina. The Prophet (PBUH) said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband.”

Do not cut severely! It seems the answer is right there. Women are being cut too severely and, ahem, Muslim men are not being cut severely enough. A minor readjustment seems to be in order.
