Terrorism: Put the Charge Where It Belongs
28 Jun, 2007
Where am I? I’m not supposed to be running an anti-Jihad website. I’m an old man. I’m supposed to be drinking gallons of coffee, jogging three miles a day and sitting in front of the TV set swearing at the Chicago Cubs—or cursing the computer; one is as irritating as the other. That’s what old men are supposed to do—make themselves as useless as possible, but then those Jihadists brought down the World Trade Center and everything changed. Well, not for everybody—but for me and Rocco DiPippo and Geraldo Rivera and millions of other Americans. But for some it’s been business as usual—for Rosie O’Donnell and Sean Penn, for the left and most of the political parties, for the radical left college professors like Ward Churchill, Robert Jensen and Nicolas DeGenova that dominate what passes for thought on American campuses, not much has changed. Maybe it’s because stupidity loves company and cowardice craves it even more.
There are 250,000,000 people in this world who believe it is okay to kill innocent men, women and children of the infidels if it will advance the cause of their religion. That’s a lot of empty heads and 249,999,000 of them are Muslims.
Two-hundred-and-fifty million! That number would terrify Dr. Frankenstein—he created one miserable measly monster; Mohammed has created hundreds of millions of them—Mohammed Atta, Osama bin Laden, Omar Bakri Mohammed, the Ayatollah Khomeini; Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Muqtada al-Sadr, Asan Akbar; Omar Abdel Rahman, a thousand jihadists named Mohammed residing inside one square mile in Pakistan—maybe inside one square block. They abound in New York, in California, in Michigan—in a mosque near you. Islam is a sick religion. It would be obvious if the dervishes would sit still long enough to have their temperatures taken. Islam was an evil religion. Many people agree but do not have the courage to say so. (Look! There lies Theo van Gogh—he disrespected Islam! How long did his movie last? Ten Minutes? Not worth getting killed over!)
There is nothing moderate about Islam. To believe in Allah and Mohammed is a Muslim’s highest goal. After that it’s Jihad—not the internal struggle between the id and the super-ego but Holy War, the quickest and surest way to Paradise. Mohammed Atta waged Jihad in the dar al-Harb against the nonbelievers; Salman Rushdie engaged in the other Jihad, the inner struggle. Rushdie lost and was anathematized. Whenever a suicide bomber strikes the moderate Muslim talks about Islam’s other Jihad, his struggle with his inner self. Opie Taylor struggled with his inner self every day. Should I cheat on the test? Should I hide Barney’s bullet? He didn’t turn it into a major life-and-death production. Islam’s inner struggle is nine-tenths nonsense—eyewash for dhimmis willing to be deluded—a way for a Muslim to avoid his complicity in one terrorist act after another. (“I was in Florida on St. Valentine’s Day, Mister Ness”)
There’s the Iraq quagmire the U.S. is caught in. And now a civil war is raging in Palestine. Was there an alternative? Ask Hamas Mouse. Hold a séance with Hanadi Jaradat. Check the Rogues Gallery—Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter, the Roadmap to Peace, the PLO, Hamas, the al-Aqsa Brigade, Islamic Jihad, intifadas, the right of return, Mad-Rats-Asses schools with textbooks that say: “There is no alternative to destroying Israel.” It’s a veritable devil’s playground—the Middle East. And lurking underneath this Hades on Earth is a crime so shocking in its magnitude it would have left Joseph Goebbels, Baldur von Schirach and the Hitler Youth gasping for breath—the systematic poisoning of the minds of generations of Palestinian children. And the wonderful thing about all this—the war in Iraq, the horrors in Palestine, and the war on terror—is that it’s George W. Bush’s fault.
Had enough? Okay? Let’s put the blame where it belongs—on Islam. It wasn’t Osama bin Laden who brought down the World Trade Center and it wasn’t Mohammed Atta or the creepy slugs preaching hatred in a thousand mosques across the world—it was ISLAM! Words on paper can mean a lot. The Qur’an and Islam’s problems predated the birth of Thomas Jefferson by a thousand years. Old Jeff might have sent Stephen Decatur to Tripoli but he wasn’t responsible for the Crusades or Islam’s inability to come to grips with the modern world. It was Mohammed that drove the Jews out of Palestine.
The differences between Islam and Christianity are too numerous and too horrifying to dwell upon for any length of time but there is one difference that one should not forget—now pay attention, Howard Dean—Jesus Christ died for our sins; Mohammed has made millions of people die for his. Islam cannot be forgiven for what it did to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Wondefully fresh, frank and blazing with truth, Denis. When will the apologists wake up and smell it? The life of Mohammad the alleged 'prophet'is a horrifying saga of murderous psychopathology -- and it's all there, laid out in the Islamic canon. Why aren't we reading it? Why aren't we countering it with the great gift of the Enlightenment? -- creativity, the brilliance of the exploring human mind? The freedom to notice and let what you see tell you its story....Islam is evil

Perhaps instead of always attacking a minority of muslims you could concentrate on what Harriet Beecher Stowe terms the Uncle Tom Syndrome. Also could someone of a high intellect offer me an explanation as to why Muslims have a tendency to dislike the United States even though most of the areas of the world Islam is prevalent in were former colonies or UN mandates of the British empire or France (i.e Europe). The reason perhaps lies in Israel. Perhaps the international community could focus on the treatment of the Jews during World War 2 and then inform the Israelis about how Palestinians have been suffering for the last 50 years. In my opinion the term Jihadi is an Uncle Tom syndrome to beat the muslims with. How many years in Vietnam just because the Vietnamese wanted to be free from France? Your rhetoric only inflames the idiocy found amongst the radical Islamic band.Recently it has been the Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan but the world being built down the road in Dubai?

Denis writes: "But for some it’s been business as usual—for Rosie O’Donnell and Sean Penn, for the left and most of the political parties, for the radical left college professors like Ward Churchill, Robert Jensen and Nicolas DeGenova that dominate what passes for thought on American campuses, not much has changed. Maybe it’s because stupidity loves company and cowardice craves it even more." Comments like this make my blood boil. If you think that Rosie O'Donnell or Sean Penn speak for the Left, you're crazy. At best, they speak only for themselves. Many on the Right accuse the Left of being in cahoots with Al Qaeda and for supporting the cause of Islamists. What utter codswollop. No one has more to fear from Islam and its terrorists than do Liberals, Progressives and Leftists. Our values of equality, freedom, justice, democracy, etc. are anathema to the values of Islam. Our values die whereever Islam thrives. To suggest that we'd participate in the destruction of the very values we hold dear is absurd. Quite frankly, I sometimes wonder who the Right sees as its true enemy. Is it the jihadist who seeks to kill as many innocents as possible or is it the Democrat next door? Islam cares nothing about our political views; it cares only that we are kaffir, infidels, and are therefore the enemies of Mohammed and his puppet Allah. Osama bin Laden sees no difference between George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. In Osama's eyes, both are equality guilty of the "crime" of being non-Muslim. Denis continues: "The differences between Islam and Christianity are too numerous and too horrifying to dwell upon for any length of time but there is one difference that one should not forget—now pay attention, Howard Dean—Jesus Christ died for our sins; Mohammed has made millions of people die for his. Islam cannot be forgiven for what it did to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001." Yes, there are many differences between Christianity and Islam. Sadly, however, Christianity once ruled with the same iron fist with which Islam rules. There is much blood on the hands of the Catholic Church and on the hands of protestants, too, who were equally zealous in persecuting non-Christians, launching pogroms against Jews and burning "witches" at the stake. The statement that "Jesus Christ died for our sins" is a very dogmatic statement that has as much merit as a Muslim claiming that "there is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet." That is a statement of faith, not of fact. And these sorts of "my god can beat up your god" arguments do nothing to serve the larger goal of fighting against the spread of Islam and faith-based terrorism. There is no question in my mind that Islam is an evil in this world that must be fought against. Stop assuming that because I am not a neoconservative nor a Republican that I am in support of the Islamists. We on the Left are not your enemy; we are your comrades and compatriots who have just as much at stake as do you. Only together can we win the fight against the Islamists and bring and end to the age of terror.

The US had been in existence scarcely two hundred years. It would take billions of years for the US to begin to commit the number of crimes Islam has committed in a single year. Because Christians committed crimes a thousand years ago does not justify a comparison with Islam. One might as well excuse a rapist because some Christians raped an Iriquois three hundred years ago. The left will not fight in Iraq; will abandon Afghanistan, pull the rug out from under Israel and will pull back from the Rio Grande to the Alamo. Liberalism died during the Vietnam War, all that remains is for it to be buried.

As a Muslim Rifat Nazeer is touchy about being criticised. Every atrocity being perpetrated by Muslims is due to Palestine! And there are lots of inhuman deeds being done in the name of Islam, in Phillipines, Thailand, Kashmir, all islamic countries! When will these people raise their heads from the sand? As long as they maintain fanatically that the Quran is the literal word of Allah they cannot but approve of the atrocities sanctioned by that book. And there is the abominable example of the prophets deeds. Sadly a reexamination of the infallibility of the Quran and Hadiths by Muslims does not appear a certainty in the near future. The democratic world has no other way but to confront the islamic evil headon.

Actually it is not so much about religion as I was born in Jammu-Kashmir and I count myself as one of the Kashmiris who want an independent secular democracy for the 'UN disputed territory of Jammu-Kashmir' like the Israelis. The differences between the Christians and the Muslims were quite narrow during the Crusades. Denegrating a state on the basis of religion does not solve the problem of oppression in a country. Nazi Germany was a an industrialised Christian country and Joseph Mangele was a Christian. Perhaps it would be pertinent to quote the Bible: "Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?"
