Islam Under Scrutiny by Ex-Muslims

Stop the God Delusion; Work for the Humanity

Let me start by stating that I don't believe in religion. I hope my opinion mimics Star Trek's Dr. Spock - someone who makes decisions without precedents, arrives at conclusions devoid of encumbrances such as customs, religion, and myths. All the hooplas about religion are nothing more than empty rhetoric. Have you ever wondered while religion is just a few hundred years old (hope I got that right), men have been around for millions of years? The begging question is why religion came to being very late? Geez, God (if that entity ever exists) almost forgot about the human race? :) That religion was a message from God (if that entity ever exists) doesn't sound convincing. There's a paradox in the religious realm. Each one claims to be the only one. If that's the case, all are hoaxes, and by logic only one is real, which one? All of 'em are fakes I'd say. Have you ever wondered that religion divide people from birth to death, to the point of having separate graves. For heaven's sake, those are just corpses. Have you read reports about idiots who dig up dead bodies simply because he was not buried according to the correct rituals or he was from another religion? Simply put water is water no matter if it's gas, liquid, or solid. Duh. Religion was born out of FUD. That term was coined by IBM to describe the unduly pandemic that arose during the early computing ages. FUD is an acronym for Fear, Uncertainty, and Delusion. We fear the unknown (does a very powerful entity watch us?), we're uncertain about the environment (where did earth come from?), and finally we're in delusion (at least most of us are) - some of us flatter ourselves that God or an angel is taking care of us (hehehe... if that's the case, we don't need hospitals and everyone would die of natural causes :) Religion could be viewed as a life-cycle framework. It's something like a civic course in life. But I think it's not quite good at it. A good course would teach us to treat everyone equally (so what if you're short, fat, tall, lazy, stupid, smart) and be mindful of our surrounding (don't you think so). However, some of these manuals are bad, bad, bad. If I'm not mistaken one of these book printed that people who don't eat food in a certain way are filthy minions or if you don't join a certain club, you're an infidel. That ain't no regular civic course. Geez, all the while I thought we're among equals. No Sir, I don't want to enroll in that course. The class that you and I should be enrolling in is the one that professes universal values like don't do onto others what you don't want others do to you, make love not war, don't kill if you can help it, and other such excellent qualities.

We are polarized simply because of flatteries and delusions. People are segmented through virtual walls that they erect themselves in their demented minds. That's the gist of it. One can proclaim one is a practitioner X or Y; If so, what makes that someone an X or a Y. He or she could as well be having a faith in A or B. That someone solemnly declares he's X, he's asserting in his own mind (and thus flattering himself) his life revolves around X (and thus wading in his own delusions). Me and you and everyone, we're all the same; we're merely "branding" ourselves into different "products". You can be any "product" you imagine (and thus have sometimes life-long delusions) but the core (strip away rituals, customs, religion) is scientifically proven to be related (yeah, we'll come from the same mother).

People, wake up from your delusion!!! Don't flatter yourself God and religion are your saviours. If God and religion are indeed our allies, why oh why so many people died in Bosnia? Couldn't religion/God (if that entity ever exists) stop the ethnic cleansing? A couple of years back I read about a report about an earthquake in Iraq (or was it Iran); there was this scoop on a lady who lamented that she and her family lost everything even though they prayed every day and opinionated why did God was so cruel to her or something like that. Geez! get a life, earthquakes happen simply because our planet has shifting tectonic plates. This is absolutely mass hysteria. People are so delusional to the point that they immerse themselves in the virtual realm (God, angels, superior beings, and what-nots) they created themselves. People, what's the similarity between a stock analyst and a religious person. They both "mould their yarn" to fit the latest news. The stock market stumbles, oh , the stock hot honcho would elaborate on some money carry trades, forex instabilities, etc. If a person is stuck on an island and a helicopter comes to the rescue, the religious person would chant that God sent the magical flying machine; however, if no help arrives, then the same religious person would lay it out, "Oh, it's your fate to die". What a load of baloney! If one is so inclined to believe in the power of religion/God, then wouldn't this world be devoid of deaths, except natural deaths? Go figure!!! I'm here not to sell you any religion. I'm here to awaken you from the slumber that is poisoning the populations' minds. Free yourself from social conditioning (yeah, the part of your life where your friends, peers, parents, and relatives subjected you to racial slurs, discriminatory chats, avoiding other ethnic groups, etc.). There you have it; why waste time on rhetoric like sermons and scriptures? We should tackle important issues like pollution, green energy, ridding the world of crimes and wars, make love not war, do research into anti-aging (my favorite topic :), and other such positive, moving forward, and fun activities.

May God (if that entity ever exists) bless you.
