It’s not about
love, neither it is the second part of James Bond movie
From Russia with Love. Although, Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad talked about love for humanity in a letter to U.S.
President G. W. Bush, the letter is full of hatred, chauvinism and
inanity.

I had to
change my doctor again. Usually, it happens because of a change of
the insurance company, but this time it was a different situation.
I have to admit, the previous doctor was nice and professional and
had no difficulty diagnosing problems. However, he was unusually
fat, which is a rare physical condition for a doctor. When I
looked at his banana-sized fingers and realized the consequence of
my upcoming yearly physical check-up, I refused to make him my
personal physician.
My new
doctor is very nice and, as a matter of fact, he is skinny too. He
even spends time discussing politics and many other topics. I was
curious about a TV show that talked about the Obsessive-Compulsive
Disorder (OCD). In
response to my inquiry, my doctor became excited and tried to
explain with complicated medical terms, such as central nervous
system, neurotransmitter serotonin, presynaptic neuron, etc. Most
of the words went over my head. However, I was able to grasp the
characteristics of OCD.
The
scientists of today are convinced that OCD is not a flaw in one’s
personality; rather, it is a serious mental disorder. According to
most of the researchers, it is a biological defect of the brain
causing psychological abnormalities and changing a person’s
behavioral pattern. An OCD-affected person may perform an act
repeatedly without any reason but is fully aware of the
meaninglessness. The sufferer is obsessed with a thought that
constantly bothers the mind and expects to get rid of the
obsession if a certain act is performed repeatedly.
After
reading Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s letter to U.S.
President G. W. Bush, I concluded, like many other Muslims, Mr.
Ahmadinejad is a serious patient of OCD.
His cacophony message, obsessed with hatred towards America and
Israel, is so immense that he failed to
conceal
his intention despite
his step-motherly love for Jesus Christ. His love letter, as
incoherent and contradictory as the Quran, does not carry any
message, nor does it have any historical or intellectual value.
While
pouring barrels of “Peace” (Peace be Upon Him) on Jesus Christ,
Mr. Ahmadinejad awarded Jesus with an honorable degree, “The
Messenger of God”. He wondered how Mr. Bush, being a follower of
Jesus and respectful to human rights and liberalism, could attack
Iraq. Apparently, Mr. Ahmadinejad is thrilled with the concept of
presenting liberalism as a civilization model. On the contrary,
his tone changed completely at the end of the letter. He said,
“Liberalism and Western-style democracy have not been able to help
realize the ideals of humanity. Today these two concepts have
failed. Those with insight can already hear the sounds of the
shattering and fall of the ideology and thoughts of the liberal
democratic systems.”
First of
all, when people like Ah-mad-in-hijab talks about humanity and
human rights, it is safe to assume that Hitler was a follower of
Gandhi. Whereas upholding human rights is the basic tenet of
liberalism and Western-style democracy, Mr. Mad-in-hijab finds the
opposite. His phenomenal insight even heard the sounds of
shattered democracy.
Mr. Ahmadinejad is
obsessed with Islam and intolerant to non-Muslims, which of course
is a pre-requisite to remain a Muslim. Throughout the letter, he
repeatedly praised Islam and bragged about Israeli occupation, all
of which indicates that he is suffering from
OCD.
Mr.
Ahmadinejad
claimed that he is a representative of young people, university
students, and ordinary people, and questioned the phenomenon of
Israel. He criticized, “Throughout history, many countries have
been occupied, but I think the establishment of a new country with
a new people is a new phenomenon that is exclusive to our times.”
Why is he specific about ‘our times’? Perhaps it is because he is
aware of his obsession and knows very well that bringing the past,
precisely Islamic history, would haunt him like a boomerang. Jews
believe Israel is their promised land, and so did Mohammed 1400
years ago. He declared Mecca was the birthplace of Islam and
kicked out all idol worshippers just because his god said such.
Will Mr.
Ahmadinejad support an
initiative of calling all pagans of the world to Mecca and give
them Kaba back? His benevolent gesture may also include
reestablishing Jews in Medina whose ancestors were butchered by
the prophet of Islam.
Mr.
Ahmadinejad
regretted the role of Western media and complained, “Again I need
to refer to the role of media. In media charters, correct
dissemination of information and honest reporting of a story are
established tenets. I express my deep regret about the disregard
shown by certain Western media for these principles.” I agree,
most of the Western media do not report honestly. The ‘useful
idiots’ of CNN and many other media are too busy whitewashing
Islam and finding ways to promote so-called peaceful Islam.
Instead, they should broadcast the video of beheading innocent
citizens by authentic Muslim brothers. It would show the real
picture of Islam and at the same time make Mr.
Ahmadinejad happy.
A
meaningless act is a crucial symptom of OCD, which is evident in
Mr.
Ahmadinejad’s statement, “As
Your Excellency is aware, in some states of your country, people
are living in poverty. Many thousands are homeless and
unemployment is a huge problem.” The crocodile’s tears of the
Iranian president would compel a crocodile to laugh. The truth is
the unemployment rate in the U.S. varies between 4% and 6%, a
healthy unemployment rate, which is an essential element of
economic growth. On the contrary, according to a report by the
Management and Planning Organization (MPO) and the Iran Youth
Organization (IYO), currently about 31% of those aged 15 to 29 in
Iran are unemployed and the number is expected to reach 52% within
two years. Overall unemployment rate in Iran is around 15%, a
dubious figure questioned by many economists.
Jahangir Amuzegar,
a distinguished economist and former member of the IMF Executive
Board, commented, “Statistics on Iran’s employment and
unemployment are the flimsiest, least reliable and most contested
of all basic indicators….And estimated figures for any given year
vary between those of the UN Secretariat, Iran’s Statistics
Center, other local authorities, and foreign organizations – often
with a 10% margin of difference.”
Mr.
Ahmadinejad
continued, “If billions of dollars spent on security, military
campaigns and troop movement were instead spent on investment and
assistance for poor countries, …… and extinguishing the flames of
racial, ethnic and other conflicts, were would the world be
today?” What a guy! I am proud of him! Wait a minute; does he
really practice what he preaches? Evidently, Mr.
Ahmadinejad is spending
billions of dollars to become a nuclear power instead of assisting
other countries and the idea of extinguishing racial and ethnic
conflicts came from the same person who wanted to wipe Israel from
the map. Frankly, his Islamic double-standard is akin to
Mohammed’s who attached double-standards as a part of Islam.
At this
point, I was tempted to call my previous doctor and ask him if he
would volunteer to visit Iran, not only for the treatment of OCD
but also for a full scale prostate gland check-up of Mr.
Ahmadinejad
with his banana-sized fingers.
Interestingly, Mr. Ahmadinejad enjoys great pleasure being a part
of the “monotheism” industry. He states, “All divine religions
share and respect one word and that is ‘monotheism’ or belief in a
single God and no other in the world.” It’s true followers of the
‘One God’ system make up about 50% of the world population, but
the other 50% (composed of Non-religious, Buddhists, Hindus and
many other religions) apparently have no place in Mr.
Ahmadinejad’s account. And, of course, this statement came from
the same person who wants to extinguish all conflicts of the
world.
Is he really
sincere about making a friendship with Christians and Jews? He
attempted to express his desire along that line but it backfired.
He quoted from the Quran, “The Holy Koran stresses this common
word and calls on all followers of divine religions and says:
(3.64) Say: O followers of the Book! Come to an equitable
proposition between us and you that we shall not serve any but
Allah and (that) we shall not associate aught with Him, and (that)
some of us shall not take others for lords besides Allah; but if
they turn back, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims” (The
Family of Imran). Note the assertion, “…we shall not serve any but
Allah”. Mr. Ahmadinejad wants to build an empire of monotheism,
provided Christians and Jews follow Allah. What a joke!
Mr.
Ahmadinejad continues his bragging about the Iraq war and seems
disgusted about people being killed. Ironically, he also admits,
“Of course, Saddam was a murderous dictator. …….He was toppled
along the way towards another goal; nevertheless the people of the
region are happy about it.” How could one be sad and happy for the
same reason?
Mr.
Ahmadinejad’s letter will surely have no historical value, as it
does not contain any meaningful message. Any sane person would
chuckle after reading the whole letter. Perhaps many Iranian
citizens are also embarrassed by such a letter. So what was the
purpose of the letter? Amil Imani, an intellectual of an
anti-Islamic think-tank, interpreted Ahmadinejad’s letter in his
article
The Apocalyptic Message of President Ahmadinejad to President Bush
as an invitation to President Bush and American citizens for
embracing Islam. Admittedly, Mr. Ahmadinejad’s ambiguous letter
has many faces and all Muslims of the world carry an enormous
responsibility of converting non-Muslims to Islam. Mr.
Ahmadinejad, being an OCD patient, knows very well he is not ready
to conquer the Western world yet. He certainly has the desire but
not enough power to materialize the dream. However, the love
letter sent by Mr. Ahmadinejad has another specific purpose.
The concept
of an Islamic world or Ummah has a tremendous impact on Muslims’
minds. A pack-mentality that divides Muslims from the rest of the
world is unique and no other religion calls for a different world
within the world. Consequently, many Muslim leaders tried to
become celebrities of the Islamic underworld. Mr. Mahatir, the
former Malaysian Prime Minister, attempted for a few years,
scolding Jews and praising the Ummah. Now, Mr. Ahmadinejad is
heading towards the same direction, critiquing the Western world
and reaffirming the cheap and sentimental issue of Palestine.
Although Mr. Ahmadinejad’s letter is directed to the President of
the U.S., its main audience is the Muslims and it is his desperate
attempt to become a hero of the Islamic world.
