Six Egyptian Christian Copts were killed by Muslims as they were celebrating Christmas on January 7, 2010. Neither President Barack Obama of the USA, nor Gordon Brown of Britain, nor Angela Merkel of Germany, to name a few Western leaders, decried the crime nor condemned it. And have nobody (Christian) taken to the street to protest the killing?

On the other hand, when an Egyptian woman, Marwa al-Shirbini, was killed in a court in Dresden/Germany by a German, whom she had taken to court on racism charges, last July (2009), Chancellor Merkel rushed to condemn the crime, depicting it as an act motivated by hatred to Islam and Muslims. Merkel apologized to President Husni Mubarak and to the Egyptian people. Thousands of Arabs and Muslims took to the street shouting Shirbini was a “martyr of Hijab” (martyr of the headscarf).

The Scottish government, clandestinely backed by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown freed the Lockerbie Libyan mass murderer, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, on the compassionate ground of his having terminal cancer. Al Megrahi is now back home in Libya, enjoying the rest of his life without any remorse for having killed 270 innocent people. And the man behind the Lockerbie massacre, Mu’ammar Al Gaddafi, is still free. The International Tribunal has not raised any charges against him, and presumably will not do so. He paid blood money. Why should he be arrested?

Gordon Brown had all the time and enthusiasm to supplicate the Chinese government not to execute Akmail Shaikh, a British Muslim, for smuggling 4 kilograms of heroin into China. Brown bought the concocted lies of Shaikh’s family that was “mentally ill”.

Was Shaikh really mentally ill? People of commonsense would not believe this version of the story. A 57-year-old man travels all the way to China, carrying 4 kilograms of heroin, and did not know what he was doing?

After the attempted Islamic terrorist attack to plot a US airplane over Detroit on Christmas Day, President Obama issued several statements criticizing the U.S. security and intelligence agencies for failing to detect the attack, but spared Islam, the ideology behind the barbaric attack. Obama still believes that Islam is a tolerant “religion”.

Before becoming the U.S. President, Obama promised to close down Guantanamo and is still determined to do so, although half of the inmates of this detention camp are from Yemen, which harbors terrorist camps that trained the terrorist of Detroit.

The West believes that Egypt is playing a significant geopolitical role in the Middle East. Therefore, it dare not criticize the Egyptian regime for its discriminatory policies against its Coptic Christian minority. An Egyptian Muslim is allowed to marry an Egyptian Copt and force him/her to convert to Islam. An Egyptian Muslim is not allowed to donate any part of his body to a Copt. It is forbidden, according to Egyptian Islam. The list of discrimination is long.

A couple of days ago, several churches in Malaysia were attacked by fanatic Muslims. Neither Obama, nor Brown, nor Merkel condemned the attack. However, if Muslim civilians are inadvertently killed in military operations in Afghanistan or Iraq, investigative parliamentary commissions are formed to find out what really happened.

In Germany, specifically in Rendsburg, local citizens, who protest the muezzin’s calling loudly to prayers five times a day, are depicted by mainstream media and politicians as “Islamophobic”.

The new German foreign minister, Guido Westerwelle (who happens to be gay), has recently (January 9, 2010) visited Saudi Arabia, a country that severely persecutes homosexuals, denies that Saudi Arabia has gays, and often emphasizes that a good Muslim can never be gay.

Did Westerwelle, chairman of the Free Democrats, raise this human rights issue with the Saudis? Of course, not.

Westerwelle focused rather on economic relations, i.e. oil for German technology. The German foreign minister acted after the motto: As long as you buy our Mercedes and BMWs, we do not care about your in-human rights record.

In addition, Westerwelle failed to tell his Saudi counterpart to stop teaching violence, hatred, and discrimination in Saudi school textbooks, the root cause of terrorism. For further details, read my upcoming book, “Veiled Atrocities”.

To add insult to injury, WDR5 radio broadcast a comment on its program, “Das Echo des Tages”, on January 10, 2010, claiming that Westerwelle did address the human rights issues in Saudi Arabia. This is a blatant lie. A Saudi friend of mine, who works for the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told me that Westerwelle has not tackled the dismal human rights record in Saudi Arabia.

Margot Käßmann, chairwoman of the Evangelical Church in Germany, criticized the deployment of foreign troops in Afghanistan, without naming any workable alternative.

Käßmann’s call for foreign troops to leave Afghanistan amounts to leaving Afghanistan at the hands of Taliban to maim, discriminate against women, and export terrorism to the rest of the world.

Is this the alternative in the mind of a church leader? Is this the kind of “peace” that Käßmann has in mind?

In a preach last month in Hanover, Rev. Käßmann presented the foreign troops in Afghanistan as the aggressors, fighting an unjust war. She added, “The message of Christ is very clear: love your enemies and forgive them.”

By implication, peace must be concluded with thugs like the Taliban and all the barbaric atrocities, which they have committed, must be wiped out.

Käßmann’s view on the war on Islamic terror is the view of an apologist, who does not have the slightest clue about the bitter reality on the ground. It is the view of someone, who lives in a cozy warm atmosphere. Had she been a Muslim living in a terror-torn region, she would argue differently.

According to a recent study by the American University of Afghanistan, the majority of Afghans believe that if the NATO troops left, they (the Afghans) would be thrown into a hellish inferno.

Certainly the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan has not yet established any peace, but they have reduced the peril emanating from the Taliban.

Who the Western politicians and religious leaders are trying to fool? The Western public?

I doubt it.

The recent Swiss vote in favor of banning the construction of minarets is a case in point. Slowly but steadily, the Western public is recognizing that the root cause of Muslim terrorism lies in the Koran and Hadith. Madrassas (Koran schools) across Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan and elsewhere are incubators of terrorists.

The West is trying to fight the symptoms of Islamic terrorism, not its root causes. When are the Western politicians going to wake up?

Unless Western politicians and religious leaders name things by their real name— namely Muslims must stop preaching hatred, violence, and discrimination in the name of Allah—Islamic jihadists will continue maiming and killing, and the mainstream media will continue to have something sensational to report about.
