Recently Pakistan banned Malala Yousufzai’s book after Islamists complained about her not mentioning “Peace be upon him” after Prophet Muhammad’s name in the book, which they consider anti-Islamic.
This Muslim tradition of mentioning “Peace be upon him” every time they cite Muhammad in word or writing has confused me for a long time. Does that mean that Muhammad has not achieved salvation yet?

Most people think terrorism is a new phenomenon since the term terrorism was only recently used a lot in the media. But actually it's much older than that. The term was first used in 1795 during the French Revolution, but that's not a good way to figure out how old the phenomenon is. I mean, just because a word is 200 years old doesn't mean that the idea the word refers to is 200 years old.

Angela Merkel, while running for reelection as the German Chancellor in 2013, became the first Chancellor to visit the Dachau Nazi concentration camp. There she warned of the dangers of far-right extremism, pointing to the German lessons as an example for all of Europe.
