According to the Quran and sunna, there is great sawab and reward for living in the footsteps of our great prophet. The most repeated ayas in Quran are about obeying what Prophet ordered and following what Prophet did in life and how taking him as role model will land us in paradise. Since our prophet spent most of his final ten years of his life in robbing, looting, raping torturing and killing, those acts are the most sacred and sawab yielding Islamic activities for us Muslims. That is the reason we have been doing those activities for the last 1400 years. However these acts have to be against infidels and bad Muslims (Mushriks), not good Muslims. I was molded from my childhood as a practicing Muslim by my orthodox father. Starting from my childhood, I heard about Paradise and Hoor-e-een (Virgins) hundreds of times in their sermons of our Mullahs. As per the Islamic doctrine of Taqiya (deception), Mullahs conveniently forget to reveal the truth about the Hoor-e-een. From childhood to age 29, I was made to imagine the Hoor-e-een as the angels of God. I hope that most Muslims – especially the non-Arabs – consider the Hoor-e-een as I used to. It was my ‘Savior’ Ahmad Deedat, the well-known apologist of Islam, who opened my eyes.

At the International Socialist conference in Copenhagen in 1910, March 8 was declared the International Working Women’s Day (IWD), which is now observed as Women’s Day. The idea was proposed by Clara Zetkin, a Marxist, of the then Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).
Battle for equal rights of women to hold public offices, their right to vocational training, and end to inequity in other areas was the goal. Since then, March 8 has been commemorated as the Women’s Day and is a national holiday in many countries. It symbolizes an age-old struggle of women of all ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds against the long-existing gender discriminations, further expanded by the Abrahamic religions from which Islam blatantly emanates misogynistic heritage.
